Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a team?

Once your coach has sent out the link, you must register as an individual player, but be associated with a team!  So, grab your friends, create a team name and register!  In order to be a "player" on your team you need to complete the full registration.

How many players on a team?

You must have 7 players (6 field, 1 goalie) to play in each game.  Your team must have a minimum of 9 players and can have a max of 20 players on it. We know it is tempting to split into two teams, but please remember that many members of your team will have conflicts during any given week - vacations, work, camps, etc - it is better to have plenty of subs during the summer, then to not be able to field a team!

What ages can participate?

Incoming first year students through seniors in high school - no recent alumni.  We recognize that many schools have 7th and 8th graders participating on their high-school programs.  We know that these players help sustain, grow and develop high-school programs; keeping the game alive in your schools.  If your school has 7th and 8th graders on your high-school team, please encourage them to join our summer league!

Can my team name be the name of my high school and mascot?

NO! We need to know which town you are affiliated with - but, you must make a new team name.  Example:  SHHS cannot be the Tigers.  They can name themselves anything (appropriate) else; including South Hadley.

Can my high school coach (varsity or JV) coach the summer league team?

No!  In fact, this league is an athlete coached league.  We believe, strongly, that this will assist all players with: communication, team development, team unity and the ability to work together toward a common goal.  Your high school coach may come and watch any games that they want to.

Is there a maximum number of teams that can participate?

Yes!  In order to accommodate two games per week, we will only be admitting 12 teams to the league.  Teams will be accepted based on first come first serve and will be based on teams meeting the minimum number of players.  Each player must complete: registration form, waiver (player and media) and payment to be officially a member of their requested team.

What should I bring?

We will require that all players follow appropriate safety -  shin guards, mouth guards. You must wear the 2025 numbered reversible pinnie for games.

This is a summer league - so it may get HOT. Please bring cooling towels, etc.  Teams may set up a tent around the perimeter (off of the turf) for shade.
